2025 Historic Preservation Award Nominations

Attention all history buffs and preservation enthusiasts! Did you know that the Wayne County Historical Society has recognized exceptional building owners for their outstanding efforts in preserving their buildings since 1993? That's right! The preservation of a building can include conservation, renovation, restoration, rehabilitation, or adaptive reuse.

By following the US Department of the Interior's guidelines for historic preservation, we present awards to projects that have gone above and beyond in preserving their history. We seek deserving buildings, projects, or individuals who have significantly contributed to preserving the past. So, if you know of someone or something that deserves to be recognized, we would love to hear from you! Just apply and let us know how they've excelled in preserving their historical significance.
