Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM for a celebration of historic preservation excellence at the 2024 Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony. The event will take place at D&H Canal Park at Lock 31, located at 179 Texas Palmyra Highway, Hawley, PA.

This year’s ceremony honors remarkable contributions to the preservation and restoration of our region's rich history. We are proud to recognize:

  • St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church for their dedicated efforts to preserve the stained-glass windows and repair the sanctuary ceiling.

  • Philip J. Eckel for his outstanding work in preserving, restoring, and documentation of the barn in Lake Township.

  • Congregation Beth Israel for their meticulous repair and restoration of stained-glass windows and the replacement of the steeple spire.

  • Kevin and Tiffany Hoffmann for their renovation and repurposing of the Uswick one-room schoolhouse in Lakeville.

Celebrate with us as we acknowledge these deserving recipients who have made significant strides in maintaining and enhancing our historical treasures. Enjoy an afternoon of reflection and appreciation amidst the beautiful backdrop of D&H Canal Park.

We look forward to seeing you there for an inspiring event that honors our past and celebrates the future of historic preservation.
